Steamy Stella cleans up

A NEW heavy-duty steam cleaner designed for the dairy market has been launched by Australian Pump Industries.

The Aussie Stella is a high pressure steam cleaner providing flows of up to 3000psi and an Effective Working Pressure (EPW) of up to 4785psi when used with the Aussie turbo lance.

With temperatures of up to 140ºC, the machine produces enough steam to enable dairy equipment and livestock shed to be cleaned easily without the use of carcinogenic chemicals and cleaning agents.

The heart of the system is a Big Berty Bertolini slow speed triplex pump with brass head and solid ceramic pistons.

Bertolini pumps come with an exclusive double seal system that is designed to increase the seal life and oversized roller bearings for endurance.

The machine comes with a stainless steel firebox and chimney with perforated chrome steel cover.

It offers users a simple electrical system that doesn’t require a PhD in electronics to service or maintain.

“The hire and rental industry already loves this machine and we expect it to be a real winner with farmers who are looking for a simple, easy to service steam cleaner at a value packed price,” product manager Trent McVey says.

The Stella comes with a built-in Aussie Safety Protection kit.

This kit includes a safety valve to protect the operator and machine from pressure spikes and a thermal dump to protect the pump from the heat built up if the machine is run on bypass for extended periods.

The machine also comes with a robust tubular steel frame with click-on side covers, and four big wheels with rubber tyres for ease of mobility on site.

Stellas are available in both single and three-phase power, but the burner is powered by its own integrated diesel fuel system.
