TANKWORKS Australia has reached an agreement to join the global building products manufacturer Kingspan Group, the world’s largest manufacturer of premium and high performance insulation and building fabric solutions.

Tankworks is the leading manufacturer and supplier of steel based rainwater harvesting systems in Australia.

Kingspan’s environmental portfolio offers solutions for wastewater, rainwater management, service and telemetry, solar hot water, energy storage and renewable energy generation.

The companies say the acquisition will give Australian farmers access to an exceptional and unparalleled range of products and expertise.

The business has been renamed Kingspan Environmental Pty Ltd.

“This is a very exciting time for our business,” said Stuart Heldon, business unit director, commenting on the move.

“Kingspan Environmental’s ambitious growth plans and their extensive sustainable product portfolio will offer our customers, and a wider market audience, an exceptional product choice and excellent customer service.”

Stuart said the corporate values of both businesses also made the new venture a perfect fit.

"Tankworks has always held strong environmental and people values, as does Kingspan, and that gives me great confidence that we are heading in the same direction, the right direction for a sustainable future," he said.

Pat Freeman, managing director of Kingspan’s environmental division, said they were delighted to be merging these two respected brands together.

“We are looking forward to offering the Australasian markets some of the best environmentally responsible and sustainable products available in the global construction industry, providing cutting edge technology for both homes and businesses."
