After COVID-19 postponed three previous attempts, seven couples from Notre Dame College enjoyed the debutante ball on Friday, December 17.

Held at the GV Hotel, the couples were presented to St Brendan’s parish priest Father Joe Taylor and Notre Dame College principal John Cortese.

A large number of family and friends attended the ball and a lovely evening was enjoyed by many as it was the first time a lot of people had been able to catch up and enjoy a meal and happy occasion due to lockdowns and restrictions.

The debutantes and their partners danced three formal dances and then took part in a "special person dance" which was the highlight of the night.

There was lots of laughter and tears during this dance.

The night was a fundraiser for St Brendan’s Church and, through the support of Notre Dame College staff, a profit of more than $3000 was raised.
