Senior students of Shepparton’s Bourchier Street Primary School strutted their stuff in style on Thursday, celebrating the Melbourne Cup with a dress-up day.
In a “senior celebration”, Years 5 and 6 students dressed to the nines with suits, bow ties and heels in the mix.
The day consisted of fun and excitement for the students, with celebratory activities of three-legged racing and the notorious yabby race.
“No-one fell over in our group in the three-legged race which was good,” Year 5 student Ella McLennan said with a laugh.
“It was a really fun day.”
Spirits were high amongst the students, finally being able to return to campus and enjoy the end of the year together.
