Community input on libraries sought

District residents are invited to help shape the future of their libraries by taking part in a survey aimed at informing the development of the 2024-2029 Campaspe Library Strategy.

The survey, accessible online and in-person at all Campaspe libraries, aims to gather valuable insights and feedback from residents about their library usage, preferences, and future aspirations.

Campaspe Shire Mayor Rob Amos expressed enthusiasm for the initiative.

‘’Through this engagement process, council aims to better understand the diverse needs and interests of our community members, ensuring that future library initiatives are reflective of their priorities,’’ he said.

In addition to the survey, a series of ‘’Listen at the Library’’ sessions will be held, where residents can drop in to share their thoughts, ideas and concerns directly with library consultants, Ian and Jacqui Phillips as well as library staff.

‘’As we embark on the development of our 2024-2029 library strategy, we are eager to hear from our residents about how we can continue to enhance and expand our library services to better serve their needs,’’ Cr Amos said.

‘Listen at the Library’ sessions will be held across the shire in April and June.

April 18: Rushworth, 9am to 11am; Stanhope, 11.30am to noon; Girgarre, 12.15pm to 12.45pm; and Kyabram, 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
