Students from around Shepparton put their minds to the test to generate crazy “good” ideas that care for the planet at a recent excursion.
Crazy Ideas College went to Mooroopna to help equip local young people with the skills and confidence to invent services, programs and products that enrich the lives of those within their community.
More than 40 students in Year 9, from three secondary schools — Goulburn Valley Grammar School, Greater Shepparton Secondary College and St Anne's College — took part in the Social Innovators two-day program.
The program was hosted at the Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre, on Thursday, February 22 and Friday, February 23.
Local community and business partners are connected to the program so that teams extend their thinking and their great ideas can be acted upon.
“Innovation is the spice of life, and the Greater Shepparton Foundation are proud to support our region’s young people to find new ways to enrich the lives of our community,” Greater Shepparton Foundation executive officer Amanda McCulloch said.
