Roadworks are set to begin on Wilmot Rd in Shepparton, with drivers warned to expect delays.

City of Greater Shepparton council will carry out resurfacing between St Georges Rd and Archer St, removing the old surface and laying new asphalt on this section of Wilmot Rd.

Works are scheduled from Monday, April 14 to Thursday, April 17 between 7.30am and 6.30pm each day, weather permitting.

Traffic will remain open in both directions but at reduced speeds.

The council is advising drivers to consider alternative routes.

Access to properties will be maintained throughout the works.

Pedestrians and road users are asked to follow the directions of traffic controllers and comply with all signage.
