What is your link to the Goulburn Valley?

I grew up in Murchison and live in Toolamba.

What’s your favourite thing about the Goulburn Valley?

My family is here, and it’s a great place to raise my children.

What do you do with yourself?

I studied zoology at La Trobe in Melbourne, which was followed by my graduate Diploma of Education and taught biology and science in Wanganui Park Secondary College and GSSC (Greater Shepparton Secondary College).

I now co-ordinate the One Tree Per Child program, do native vegetation advice to landholders and internal staff, and collaborate with external agencies.

How do you like spending your free time?

I have 13-year-old twins, so I run them around to sports!

Otherwise, I enjoy hanging out with friends and spending time outside.

What piece of advice would you give your younger self?

Being kind goes a long way. Don’t be afraid to be assertive to do the right thing.

Be a good person and take care of the environment.
