Are you from the Goulburn Valley?

Not originally, I was born in New Zealand. We came up in 1977 because (my husband) Peter’s aim was to buy a dairy farm.

What is your favourite thing about the Goulburn Valley?

That’s a hard question, right? It’s country, and it’s lovely living in the country. I couldn’t stand living in Melbourne. Every time we go down there, we can’t wait to get out of it — the traffic. It’s always like just lovely arriving back in the valley thinking, this is home. It’s a lot easier, and it’s a lovely farming orchard community.

What did you used to do?

I used to be a real estate agent.

What piece of advice would you give your younger self?

I don’t want that to sound pompous, of course, but I’m pretty happy with the way my life’s gone and no regrets or nothing that we wish to have done that we haven’t.

We've sailed the world, done the most magnificent world cruises for three and a half months and as Peter being a ship guy, we’ve done a lot of big cruises, but we stopped when COVID came.
