The Greater Shepparton Foundation builds partnerships and collaborations to connect the needs of the local community with essential resources and skills to tackle and disrupt the cycle of disadvantage. The Foundation Features series will help shine a light on those driving change through innovative initiatives, as well as highlight community organisations that align with the foundation’s purpose.

Greater Shepparton Foundation’s Workplace Giving Program makes it easy for you to make a regular, tax-deductible donation that supports your local community.

Many people want to help others but lack a simple and effective way to do so.

By donating just $2 each week through our Workplace Giving Program, you can help build a stronger local community, providing opportunities for all to participate.

Workplace Giving is an accredited Australian Taxation Office program that requires minimal effort to donate.

It’s as simple as authorising your employer to deduct your chosen amount each pay period. You can cancel at any time.

The benefit is that this amount is deducted from your pre-tax pay, making it an immediate tax deduction.

Greater Shepparton Foundation is part of a proud, resilient and innovative community.

However, data reveals pockets of entrenched disadvantage throughout Greater Shepparton.

As a trusted local philanthropic hub with a mission to fund courageous and creative solutions to tackle disadvantage, we aim to foster inclusive, interconnected communities where everyone has an equal opportunity to participate.

By truly listening, learning and activating local expertise, we identify ways to strengthen our community.

We are committed to the belief that if we are led by the community, we can deliver for the community.

With our place-based knowledge and community consultations, we have identified social inclusion, housing, parenting and early childhood development, and employment and economic engagement as major areas in need of our focus.

We also support the community in times of crisis with an established Response Fund for use following disasters.

Over the years, our Workplace Giving Program has raised critical funds to support important projects, mostly led by community and volunteer organisations.
