The Shepparton Showgrounds was a haven for caravans, camper-vans, camper trailers, boats and four-wheel drives aplenty at the weekend.

The Shepparton Great Outdoor 4x4 Expo was a three-day event that ran during the day from Friday, September 1 until Sunday, September 3.

GTR Events expo and commercial manager Ben Annear heaped praise on the Shepparton turnout and the much-welcomed spring sun.

“It was incredibly successful,” he said.

“The weather was beyond perfect.”

Billed as Shepparton’s biggest-ever expo of this kind, the weekend delivered, with more than 8000 patrons through the gates in total over the three days.

Mr Annear said the weekend was a great opportunity to host a premium event at a fantastic venue, and thanked everyone from Shepparton for their contributions.

The expo will be returning to Shepparton next September, 2024, and will be “even bigger and better”.

News photographer Rechelle Zammit captured the event on Sunday, September 3.
