How do you make a wombat stew?

That’s what children were asked at Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre on Wednesday, July 10.

Children listened to classic Australian children’s book Wombat Stew by Marcia K. Vaughan, where one dingo tries to make wombat stew using all the bush animals’ suggestions.

Then, the children got to go on their own hunt to find the ingredients to make their own stew, scouring the area to find everything they needed.

The News photographer Rechelle Zammit was at MEAC to capture the kids hard at work.
