Members of the Goulburn Valley Tree Group invite everyone to join them on Saturday, June 17, to celebrate environment day in Tatura.

The Goulburn Valley Tree Group, a not-for-profit organisation, has been dedicated to promoting native plants and revegetation since 1984.

The group strives to create a greener and more diverse environment in the Goulburn Valley.

Under the new management of a friendly group of volunteers, the group continues its mission with renewed energy.

The group’s nursery offers an extensive variety of native trees, plants, grasses and ground covers, all grown from seed.

The plants are nurtured individually in tubes, ensuring their optimal growth and vitality. To make these native plants more accessible to the public, the prices have been set at $2 per tube, with bulk discounts available.

Recognising the importance of native vegetation in enhancing biodiversity, the group encourages both urban gardeners and farmers to embrace native plants.

The group is hosting a ‘backyard biodiversity and native plant sale’ to celebrate environment day on Saturday, June 17 from 9.30am to 12.30pm at 2-4 Kerford St, Tatura.

The event will feature a range of exciting activities, including giveaways, expert advice, valuable information and a mouthwatering sausage sizzle.

It is an opportunity to learn more about native plants, their benefits and how they can be incorporated into your own garden or property.

For more information and to support the Goulburn Valley Tree Group’s efforts, visit its nursery at 7 Kerford St, Tatura, on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9:30am to 11am.
