Greater Shepparton Seniors Festival: What’s on in week four

It’s the final countdown. For the month of October, senior citizens in Greater Shepparton have been invited to partake in free to low-cost activities. Find details of some of week four’s events below:

Tuesday, October 24

Uke3A — Ukulele Show

It’s a toe-tapping event like no other. Watch the Uke3A group as they strum, sing and give a superb performance at Shepparton Library. Post-show, attendees are welcome to stay for afternoon tea. Bookings preferred.

Ready, Tech, Go — Connecting to others with FaceTime and Zoom

Connecting to your loved ones is only a click away. At this Shepparton Library information session, learn how to set up and use FaceTime and Zoom on your smartphone, tablet or computer. Refreshments provided. Bookings essential, as places are limited.

Author Talk — Noel Braun

In this ‘Author Talk’, Noel Braun speaks about drawing inspiration from his journeys along the Camino de Santiago. Noel, who embarked on his Camino trek at age 77, has woven his experiences into captivating stories. His latest book, a work of fiction, continues this tradition. Afternoon tea provided. Bookings preferred.

Cultural activities

Join the Rumbalara Elders Facility for a day of cultural arts and crafts. Create an emu feather necklace and headband, enjoy a barbecue lunch and have a yarn with the Elders.

GV Woodworkers Woodworking Show

The 31st Annual Woodworking Show is here, and woodworking enthusiasts from across Victoria, NSW and South Australia are ready to celebrate. Purchase the creations of talented artisans, browse stalls from local businesses, and watch exciting demonstrations on various woodworking techniques by experts.
