Family day care provider Intereach is expanding its services to Greater Shepparton.

The expansion follows Greater Shepparton City Council’s announcement that it would close its family day care services at the end of September. Council will host an early years educator recruitment day in Shepparton on September 6.

Intereach family day care manager Rebecca Fitzpatrick said the organisation was pleased to step up and support parents and carers after council decided to relinquish services.

She said the service had a wonderful reputation with service delivery and quality of educators across NSW and Victoria.

Intereach has 17 offices across southern NSW, north and central Victoria and the Mallee, with more than 460 staff.

Intereach co-chief executive Yvette Buhagiar said the expansion would build on service provision already provided in the region as a National Disability Insurance Scheme partner in the community and provider of aged care services.

“We believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life,” Mrs Buhagiar said.

“Our family day care services exemplify our commitment to this belief, and we welcome educators who share our vision to join our team.”

Dedicated individuals with a passion for early childhood education in Greater Shepparton are invited to join the Intereach team.
