Pet of the week: Good boy Clyde needs a home

Pet of the week: Clyde is looking for a home.

Clyde is looking for his Bonnie, and by Bonnie we mean a loving home and family.

Beautiful Clyde is two years and eight months old and as a staghound cross, he is known for being a big, super-friendly bundle of joy and energy.

Because of this, Clyde will need to go to a rural property or a house with a big yard and a family that can walk him daily to keep him happy and healthy.

Sweet Clyde tends to think he’s smaller than he is, and sometimes jumps up when excited, so he would be better suited to a home with no small children.

He is clever, so he knows how to sit on command but also pulls on the lead and is quite a strong dog.

Clyde has been an entire male most of his life, so he has a tendency to mark his territory and may not get along immediately with other male dogs.

He’s looking for an owner with a bit of experience owning dogs.

If this big playful goofball could be the perfect match for you, complete the online adoption questionnaire with attached photos of your yard, and the adoption officer will be in contact if successful to organise a meet and greet.

Applicants are encouraged to give as much information as possible and attach good photos taken in daylight of their yard, fencing, and any areas the dog might be spending a lot of time. Photos must be attached to the application before organising a meet and greet.

Dogs do not necessarily go to the first applicant, all applications are considered.

If an application is incomplete or submitted without any photos, it will automatically be pushed to the bottom of the pile for that particular dog.

Clyde comes with an adoption fee of $360, this includes vet check, C5 vaccination, desexing, microchipping, and flea and worm treatment. Shepparton Animal Shelter is located at 125 Wanganui Rd, Shepparton, and is open from 8.15am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
