Greater Shepparton City Council has unveiled the program for the Shepparton Health and Wellbeing Event later this month.
The event — at Shepparton’s Riverlinks Eastbank on October 29, from 9am to 4pm — is a chance for community members to reignite their personal health and wellbeing pursuits.
The one-day event is brimming with activities tailored to diverse interests and health goals.
The program offers an array of interactive experiences for those eager to physically engage, learn, get creative or delve into an intimate discussion on women’s health.
Fitness enthusiasts could partake in a gym circuit or a silent workout, while those seeking a tranquil experience can immerse themselves in a connected tea ceremony and meditation session.
Alternatively, the disco events present a chance to either roller skate or groove to music with headphones on.
For attendees keen on enhancing their knowledge and empowerment, the event offers eight enlightening talks covering various topics.
From prevention and recovery from burnout, debunking food myths, mastering infant and child CPR, exploring LGBTIQA+ identities and sexuality, to understanding breathwork, heart health, and sleep habits — there’s a wealth of knowledge on offer.
However, those with more creative spirits won’t be left out, as the day also features hands-on workshops, including crafting beaded tassel keychains and creating everlasting bloom arrangements.
“We have curated an impressive program with a wide variety of activities to cater for everyone and whatever individual health journey they are on,” Greater Shepparton City Council partnerships and marketing co-ordinator Liz Connick said.
“The event focuses on local exhibitors, along with new and diverse providers in the health and wellbeing field, and the workshop presenters are experts in showcasing all things health and wellbeing.”
Registrations kick off at 9am on the event day, with attendees urged to check in early, collect a complimentary tote bag filled with gifts, and explore the exhibitor stalls before the workshops begin.
