Rediscover the joy of model trains at Shepparton Library.

If you’ve ever been captivated by the charm of model trains or dreamt of creating your own miniature railway, Shepparton Library has a treat in store for you.

On Thursday, September 26, at 6pm, the GV Rail Club is hosting a special evening dedicated to the fascinating world of model trains, and it promises to be an exciting evening for train lovers young, and not-so-young, alike.

The GV Rail Club, a local group of train enthusiasts founded in 1989, is known for bringing together those who share a love for everything rail-related — from model set-ups to full-scale railways.

The club’s biannual Model Railway Exhibition has become an institution in Shepparton, attracting train lovers from near and far.

The next exhibition takes place in 2025, but why wait until then?

Whether you’re rekindling a childhood passion or exploring this hobby for the first time, the upcoming library event offers something for everyone.

Attendees can explore various train layouts, including the exciting opportunity to take control of unique engines and experience the thrill of driving the trains.

If you’re curious about starting your own train set, need advice on improving your current layout, or simply want to relive memories, mark your calendar.
