News cadet Caleb Francis attended the Greater Shepparton Business Network’s After 5 Networking Event at the Optus Business Centre on Wednesday, September 20.

While there, he spoke to some of the GSBN board members.

Board president John Anderson

How long have you been part of the GSBN board?

I was a board member for many years, way back in an earlier lifetime. Then I had a spell away. I’ve been back on the board for about six-and-a-half years and president for the past five.

What do you love most about the GSBN?

I think the way it’s building into something bigger than just a local chamber of commerce – that we’ve become a business network and can now engage with businesses right across the Greater Shepparton area. The most powerful thing is being here tonight and seeing people meeting people from other businesses, connecting and hearing stories from our hosts.

How long have you been part of the GSBN board?

About four years.

What do you love most about the GSBN?

The exciting part is the networking, bringing businesses together and reinvigorating the transition from the chamber to the business network. It’s all about that togetherness with business.
