The News is getting out and about each week to find out what’s happening on the street.

This week we got down to Vibert Reserve to speak to some community group members about what they thought of the redevelopment. Here’s what they had to say.

Karramomus Cricket Club president Nathan Delahey: “It’s better than the shipping container out the back. There’s just so much more room. Nice change rooms, and a nice space for afternoon tea.”

Shepparton Bulls rugby union club vice-president Maka Atu: “The brand new buildings are hopefully going to help promote the game, because there’s not a lot of awareness about rugby in this region, so we hope it gets more people involved at both a junior and senior level.”

Shepparton Bulls rugby union club junior coach and co-ordinator Tim Rhind: “It gives us a decent home base, and the brand new canteen facilities will be a source of income for the club.”

South Shepparton Community Centre committee member Val Roberts: “This means we are going to be able to open up to so many new people and introduce new programs."
