A Shepparton award-winning thespian will step behind the scenes to co-direct their first Echuca musical next year.

Alongside Tamara Cadd and Mark Thomson, Sean O’Brien aims to help bring Echuca-Moama Theatre Company’s production of Into the Woods to life.

“In a vocal sense, Into the Woods is a massive musical challenge that has been on my bucket list for a while. To be able to bring it to life with Mark and Tam will be fantastic,” Mr O’Brien said.

Into the Woods intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and explores the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests.

The first cast member has already hoofed their way into the show - none other than the beloved Milky White.

The adventure is far from complete, and EMTC is on the lookout for more performers to join Milky White to be part of this award winning musical.

Shepparton’s aspiring actors, singers and dancers are welcome to attend an information night on Monday, December 11.

The information night will be a chance to meet the production team, learn about the story and characters of Into the Woods as well as the audition and casting process, discuss the rehearsal schedule and book your audition.

If singing isn’t your thing, there is still a place on stage for you as EMTC is also looking for a small dance-only troupe.

People must be aged 14 and above to audition.

The information night will be held at 7pm at EMTC’s Shed, Simmie St, Echuca.
