Summer fun ahead with new pass

It’ll be a fun summer thanks to council.

Greater Shepparton City Council is inviting residents to get out and about around the Goulburn Valley this summer through their new ‘Summer Super Pass’.

As part of the Home for the Holidays campaign running from Friday, December 20, 2024 until Friday, January 31, 2025, this pass aims to encourage locals and visitors to experience activities and special promotions at local venues in Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley.

The initiative is run through council’s destination brand Shepparton & Goulburn Valley, with local businesses and service providers partnering with the brand, by offering special promotions and deals.

Whenever residents and visitors enjoy a Summer Super Pass activity, they will earn a sticker, and once three stickers are collected, they can enter the draw to win a $100 voucher from participating businesses, with a winner drawn each week of the school holidays.

Mayor Shane Sali said council was excited about people getting behind the initiative and experiencing everything Greater Shepparton has to offer.

“We invite local residents staying ‘Home for the Holidays’, especially those hosting family and friends, to take advantage of the Summer Super Pass and enjoy the great experiences available in the region,” he said.

“You don’t have to travel far to find great food, wonderful experiences and enjoy the fun family activities.

“These types of activities are a wonderful opportunity to encourage people to shop local, activate the economy and discover new things to do in their own community.”

The pass will be available at participating businesses, including the Greater Shepparton Visitor's Centre at 530 Wyndham St, Shepparton, and council’s offices at 90 Welsford St, Shepparton.
