Vox Pops | Food and Fibre Careers Day

On Friday, May 31, the University of Melbourne Dookie Campus hosted the annual Food and Fibre Careers Day.

The event saw hundreds of students from around the region attend to learn from industry experts about possible career paths in agriculture, horticulture, agtech and agribusiness.

The News’ Nicola Ceccato went down to the University of Melbourne Dookie Campus to chat with some of them about what they want to be after graduating from high school.

Here’s what they had to say.

“Probably go to university and see where that takes me.”

“I’m hoping to work on a farm, possibly with cattle, otherwise perhaps the sheep industry in maybe NSW or something.”

“After I graduate I’m going to hopefully go to Longerenong College, and do some courses there and I have a passion for ag and getting out on the farm and doing what I love doing.”

“I’m probably going to do outdoor leadership or something in that sector.”
