Santa and friends visit KidsTown

What do Santa, his Christmas elves, and the legendary Batman have in common? They’re all coming to KidsTown this weekend. ‘Tis the season to get into the Christmas spirit and have your family photos taken with Santa and Batman. Plus, the Christmas elves will have games and activities set up around the park.

When: 10am to 2pm, December 2 and 3.

Where: KidsTown adventure playground, 7287 Midland Hwy, Mooroopna.

Cost: Gold coin entry, no extra charges apply to meet the special guests.

Live Your Dreams

The musical theatre and U CAN SING vocal students are singing it loud and proud as they showcase a variety of musical theatre and singing performances.

Common ground: Grounded celebrates music and community, set against the breathtaking canvas of Dookie Quarry.

Grounded at Dookie Quarry

Grounded by name but funky by nature. Having risen to a calibre of its own, the former Secret Garden Gig returns to Dookie Quarry’s red earth this Saturday. The festival has delivered yet another stellar line-up of musical artists, including The Bamboos, JBandMe, Charm of Finches, and Bricky B. Food vendors on-site. BYO chair or blanket.

Leaving Jackson - The Johnny Cash and June Carter Show is a tribute to a legend is hitting the stage. Relive the iconic moments of Johnny Cash’s life, portrayed through some of the greatest songs ever written – Folsom Prison Blues, Jackson, Walk the Line, and more. Starring Jeff Carter and Melanie Lewin, accompanied by a full backing band, this show promises a powerful tribute to the Man in Black and his beloved June.

Shepparton Jazz Orchestra concert

The Shepparton Jazz Orchestra is taking centre stage at Dookie this Sunday. Led by local maestro Wade Gregory, who also serves as the musical director, the orchestra is set to enchant the audience with a captivating jazz suite and contemporary and big band classics.

When: 2pm.

Where: Dookie Arts Hub, 38 Mary St, Dookie.

Cost: Free admission.

Fundraiser for Maxine

Unwavering strength, radiant smile, and a battle upon her. Come along to a special fundraiser in support of Maxine Gee, who has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease. Hosted by the Peppermill Inn, attendees will be treated to live entertainment, an auction, and a raffle. Every contribution, big or small, is a beacon of hope and a reminder that the Shepparton community stands strong by her side.
