GOTAFE is a mover and shaker for agriculture and horticulture training, offering innovative courses such as Artificial Insemination and Fertility Management in Cattle, as well as other cornerstone agriculture and horticulture qualifications.
As part of the Victorian Government’s Agriculture TAFE and Training Funding, GOTAFE is also releasing a series of non-accredited short courses in agriculture and horticulture to ensure the future workforce is equipped with the required experience and skills.
GOTAFE is already seeing success with these courses, which include Introduction Farm Fencing (SCFFENCE24) and Find Your Passion in Agriculture and Horticulture (SCFYPASN24).
These courses are delivered by industry-qualified and award-winning trainers, including Megan Dodd who was recently nominated for the Teacher/Trainer of the Year at the Victorian Training Awards.

The nomination underscores GOTAFE’s leading role in agriculture vocational education and training and is also a nod to the way Megan recognises challenges and teaches students how to address these.
Agriculture and horticulture students gain hands-on experience in everything from cropping and farming to production at GOTAFE’s working farm campus in Shepparton.
