OUTintheOPEN 2023 is coming up this week, promising a wide range of events from drag bingo to queer double features.

The festival, which officially opens on November 10, will have events running from Thursday, November 9 to Sunday November 19.

The main event is the Carnival Day which will be held at Queens Gardens on Saturday November 18 and hosted by Frock Hudson.

“This year’s festival theme reminds me that we stand on the shoulders of giants with a strong and proud queer history that no one ever gets taught,” GV Pride president Deb Chumbley said.

These are the days of our lives allows us to explore and savour our pioneers and all that has gone before us in the time that we are living in - in a fun way.”
