The Friends of the Shepparton Library will conduct a book sale at the Shepparton Branch Library. The sale will begin Friday at noon and conclude on Sunday, April 3, at 4pm. All sales are by donation. Everyone is welcome.

A Taste of the Umu with Aunty Aisa

Aunty Aisa: In Samoa, food is still cooked in a ground oven of hot stones called an umu.

This special event will be a rare opportunity to be immersed in flavours, stories and culture of the islands with a traditional umu experience.

From watching the stones being laid and the fire being lit, to learning how to weave a plate the Island Way and gathering around to hear Aunty Aisa talk about Fa’a Samoa (the Island Way), the day will finish with a feast of delicious, traditional umu dishes.

The free event will be held from 2pm to 6.30pm at KidsTown.

This free, fun and creative kite-making workshop will see you colour in your own kite and have fun flying it from 10am to noon at the Katandra West Recreation Reserve, Union Rd, Katandra

Giving everyone the opportunity to buy and sell pre-loved clothing, footwear and accessories.

There will be food, fashion and fun as you browse for bargains at Victory Hall, Tatura, from 10am to 2pm.

Over-60s Friendship Group

A friendly social group meets every second Tuesday of each month at 6pm at Casablanca Restaurant, 125 High St, Shepparton, for a meal and to discuss the coming months’ itinerary for day and evening outings.
