The Campaspe Art Trail, stretching from Kyabram to Gunbower, is a vibrant part of the Australian Silo Art Trail, offering a rich tapestry of public artworks.

With Kyabram as your starting point, you can embark on a journey through the region’s artistic heritage and natural splendour.

Your adventure kicks off with the Kyabram Water Tank mural, a masterpiece by Jimmy Dvate.

This stunning artwork showcases the diverse wildlife of the Kyabram Fauna Park, featuring an array of animals and birds including the eastern long neck turtle, golden whistler, and the rare plains-wanderer.

For the best view of this mural, you can head to the old Kyabram train station at the corner of Union and Drum Sts.

Here, you’ll find a viewing platform, picnic area and ample parking — even for caravans — making it the perfect spot for a lunch break while you soak in the artistry.

The Kyabram Town Hall Gallery serves as the cultural heart of the town.

The Splinters Contemporary Artists maintain a dedicated space and refresh their exhibitions quarterly.

Textile art is a particular favourite here.

Venturing beyond Kyabram, you will discover Tongala, aptly known as the home of street art.

With over 50 artworks depicting the town’s history, it’s a visual feast for art lovers.

In Girgarre, a unique sound walk awaits.

Here, you can create your own music using public instruments crafted from recycled materials — a truly interactive artistic experience.

Stanhope offers a different perspective, with murals focusing on the town’s people.

A standout piece on the Fonterra factory features an impressive 11,000 community photos.

The town centre also houses a poignant mural depicting Australia’s largest maritime disaster, the sinking of the Montevideo Maru.

In Colbinabbin, five privately owned silos painted by Tim Bowtell tell the story of the town's history.

The artwork captures significant events, from early farmers’ picnics to a massive tractor pull from the 1980s.

Rochester’s GrainCorp silos, another Jimmy Dvate creation, pay homage to local flora and fauna.

The town is also home to over 50 pieces of public art, including a mural park in Moore St and a piece featuring former local and homicide detective Ron Iddles.

With Kyabram as your base, you are perfectly positioned to explore the Campaspe Art Trail and immerse yourself in the region’s artistic treasures.
