CLUBARHAM WILL HOST THE BEST OF COUNTRY MUSIC AT THE COUNTRY MUSIC STAMPEDE FESTIVAL FROM JULY 8 TO 11.
Australian Country Music Hall of Fame member in Tamworth and South Australia, Don Costa, is looking forward to the stampede.
“I’ve been performing for 30 years and have enjoyed the journey,” Don said.
“I’ve been to Tamworth numerous times, and being inducted into the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame in Tamworth and South Australia has been some of my career highlights.
“I have been very fortunate to be part of nearly every major country music event in Australia for the last 30 years.
“I love performing songs, performing for audiences, and I love performing.
“I love country music, I am a big country music fan.”
Heavily influenced by artists like Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson and Dwight Yoakam, Don is guaranteed to keep the crowds entertained.
“Willie Nelson, George Jones, Slim Dusty are all the usual suspects that have helped to create such wonderful music that we love and treasure,” Don said.
“Many of the early artists paved the way and created an industry so many of us have tried to follow in their footsteps.”
Don will perform all the country music tunes he is known for and country favourites from his most recent album, Country Fever.
“At events like the Country Music Stampede, I love performing, doing the songs that I love and catching up with all the country music fans,” Don said.
“It is just such a friendly atmosphere at cluBarham
“It just attracts people from so many different walks of life.
“There is always a good mix of locals and travelling people, which is great.
“It is really nice when you see people smiling and having fun, it certainly is very rewarding.”
Rodney Vincent, Rene Diaz, Johnny Shilo, the Shelly Jones Band, Allan Webster and Bidge Boyd will also perform at the Country Music Stampede Festival.
