Don Costa, a distinguished member of the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame in Tamworth and South Australia, is eagerly anticipating his performance at this year’s Kyabram RV Country Music Festival.

“I’ve been performing for 30 years and have enjoyed the journey,” Mr Costa said.

“I’ve been to Tamworth numerous times, and being inducted into the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame in Tamworth and South Australia has been some of my career highlights.’’

Mr Costa has been a part of nearly every major country music event in Australia for the last 30 years.

“I love performing songs, performing for audiences, and I love performing,’’ he said.

“I love country music, I am a big country music fan.”

Heavily influenced by artists like Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson and Dwight Yoakam, Mr Costa is guaranteed to keep the crowds entertained.

“Willie Nelson, George Jones, Slim Dusty are all the usual suspects that have helped to create such wonderful music that we love and treasure,” Mr Costa said.

“Many of the early artists paved the way and created an industry, so many of us have tried to follow in their footsteps.”

Mr Costa will perform all the country music tunes he is known for, as well as country favourites from his most recent album, Country Fever.

“At events like the Ky Country Music Festival, I love performing, doing the songs that I love and catching up with all the country music fans,” he said.

“The Kyabram RV Country Music Festival is not just about the music, it's about the people.

‘’The atmosphere is always so warm and friendly, it's like a big family reunion.’’

Mr Costa said the event attracts people from so many different walks of life.

“There is always a good mix of locals and travelling people, which is excellent.’’ he said.

“It is really lovely when you see people smiling and having fun, it certainly is gratifying.
