Shepparton’s Woolshed played host to hundreds at this year’s Goulburn Valley Business Rural and Industry Network event, as patrons came to hear from former world champion cyclist Anna Meares.

On Wednesday, August 17, GV BRaIN, in partnership with Shepparton Chamber of Commerce, hosted its first annual event in two years.

This year’s event focused on health and wellbeing.

Shepparton yoga, pilates and fitness instructor Jen Scandolera spoke and included practical yoga techniques for the crowd.

Following Mrs Scandolera, four male panellists fronted the crowd to talk about mental health in the workplace.

And considered by many to be the greatest Australian cyclist of all time, Ms Meares captivated the crowd to finish the evening.

She detailed her journey to the Commonwealth and Olympic Games, all the way through to her life now — ups, downs and all the in-betweens.

The News was there to capture the evening.
