While the horses were away, the ladies did play.
On Thursday, November 7, women arrived at Crown Oaks Day in Melbourne, sporting a flourish of colour to watch three-year-old filly Treasurethe Moment stretch her winning streak to four consecutive victories.
Meanwhile, the Soroptimist International of Shepparton held its Oaks Day Luncheon right here at Shepparton’s GV Hotel.
The well-attended event featured local ladies dressed in their best, a fashion parade courtesy of Shop 221 in Shepparton and Pampens Boutique in Mooroopna, and raised funds for local charities.
