The branches of the Eastern Goulburn Country Women’s Association gathered to celebrate art and each other at their Creative Arts Exhibition.
Over two days, the Shepparton East Community Centre was filled with art and scone lovers for the exhibition, with a wide variety of arts and crafts created by the talented members on display.
On Friday, March 28, before doors were opened to the public, awards were handed out, with 10 trophies awarded to members, including:
- Agnes Metzke Trophy for the highest number of points from exhibits in needlework, knitting, crochet and craft jointly awarded to Ruth Gledhill and Maree Agius
- Myrtle Merrigan Trophy for best floral exhibit to Helen Sands
- Eastern Goulburn Valley Group Aggregate for the branch with the most entries was Karramomus Branch
- Wendy Brauer Trophy for Juniors awarded to Zara Burke and Gabby Shields
The exhibit opened to the public on Friday afternoon and Saturday, March 29, with many people coming to enjoy the creations and the refreshments.
The display included handcrafts, knitting, crocheting, photography, cookery, horticulture and more.
