Backpacks on, notebooks open, and pencils ready — school is back! From reading stories to catching up with friends, students have stepped into a fresh year filled with new adventures, learning and plenty of fun at Shepparton East Primary School, on January 29.

With big smiles and even bigger enthusiasm, the school was buzzing with excitement as students settled into their new classrooms, ready for the year ahead.

News photographer Rechelle Zammit captured moments from the day.
