Court is now in session at Kialla.

A new basketball court has recently been installed at Kialla Lakes Dve, a timely investment given the sport’s surging popularity in the region and on the heels of the Shepparton Gators’ explosive season.

To get the ball rolling, a launch event was held on Thursday, September 5.

Young hoopsters were joined by Gators players Josh Kooiman and Dylan Wilkie for a basketball clinic, hoping to mirror the skills of the star athletes.

Plus, a basketball shooting machine, giant games and giveaways boosted the day’s festivities.

News photographer Megan Fisher captured attendees of the opening event having a ball.
