Grahamvale Primary School students got into the Commonwealth Games spirit, going head-to-head in races and relays on Thursday, July 28.

It’s a long way, distance-wise, from Birmingham, England, where Australia’s best athletes are representing the green and gold.

But as News photographer Rechelle Zammit found out, the competitive spirit at Grahamvale was no less fierce.
