Transitioning from primary school to high school can be a daunting experience for students.

However, Kialla West Primary School Year 6 students Torah Pomeroy and Jack Wood are beyond excited for their next schooling adventure.

Alongside getting ready to transition into high school, they are gearing up for an unforgettable graduation and whole school concert to end the year.

The 30 graduating students from the school will attend a pool party, eat pizza and enjoy a slide show of photos taken from their schooling years in the second last week of their final primary school term.

And Jack, who is heading to St Anne’s College in Kialla next year, said he was looking forward to making new friends but was excited for their end-of-year celebration first.

“I am going to miss my teachers, but I am looking forward to meeting my new ones and taking silly photos with everyone at the graduation,” Jack said.

“That will be heaps of fun.

“I am a tech leader here, which has been great. I love technology.

“I am looking forward to also meeting my new leaders and doing PE and music and playing basketball.”

Torah, who, alongside many friends, is heading to Notre Dame College, also said she would miss her fabulous teachers the most.

“I like all my teachers here,” Torah said.

“They have always been here for me whenever I have needed them. I am going to miss them.

“I am excited to make new friends and be in a new environment, and I like interior design, so hopefully, I can learn about that also.

“It will be fun.

“So will the graduation. Our last big celebration all together.”
