Shaun Atley has returned to his childhood club of Rochester this season and the former AFL star has played a key role.
Atley played 234 games for North Melbourne over his 11-year AFL career, and now he is back in Rochy’s yellow and black alongside his brothers Jacob and Joseph.
The former Kangaroo was a big-name recruit for the Tigers this off-season, and thanks to GVL Data we can see just how good he has been in 2022.
Over his six games in the sash, Atley has had 30 or more touches in five of them, averaging 32 disposals — 15 kicks and 17 handballs — as well seven clearances each time he takes the field.

His 10 score assists, 190 total disposals and 35 clearances are all in the top 10 for the Tigers — an impressive feat considering he has only played in half of their games this season.
Atley was the main man for Rochester again on the weekend during the clash against Mansfield, leading his side with 30 touches, seven clearances, 14 ground-ball gets and five tackles.
Atley’s best game of the season game against the Shepparton Swans in round six when he had 35 possessions — 23 of which were contested — and 12 clearances. He has kicked two goals this season.
