It was utter domination by Echuca yet again this season, with the Murray Bombers comfortably accounting for Tatura in wet and windy conditions.

The Bulldogs could not get hands on the footy, recording just 272 disposals compared to Echuca’s 320, while the Murray Bombers dominated the contested possession count as well with 47 more than Tatura (145 to 98).

The reigning premier was plus seven in clearances, while also managing to thrust the ball into attack 60 times as opposed to Tatura’s 16 entries inside 50.

The Murray Bombers recorded a pressure rating of 145, 35 points higher than the Bulldogs could manage, including 57 pressure acts.

Echuca was also able sweat on turnover, forcing Tatura to cough up the ball 72 times, putting 8.7 (55) on the board from this source, while only turning the ball over 59 times itself for a score of 1.2 (8) against.

Both sides went at a similar rate when disposing of the ball, although Tatura’s 70 per cent efficiency just edged out the Murray Bombers, used the footy at 66 per cent.
