On the move: Euroa’s Ben Bath in action during the win over Kyabram.

Euroa issued an emphatic message to the rest of its Goulburn Valley League competitors at the weekend.

The Magpies booted a blistering nine goals to two behinds in a 30-minute display of football that secured a spot in the first semi-final against Echuca this weekend.

Thanks to GVL Data we decided to highlight the Magpies’ stellar third term.

Euroa coach Scott Rowan has his team firing on all cylinders and that was evident in the numbers from the eye-catching quarter.

The Magpies used the ball at 76 per cent by foot and were able to put the Bombers away with their uncontested work.

Euroa’s midfielders seemed to be able to find open space and recorded 62 uncontested possessions for the term.

The Magpies’ run and carry, highlighted by 32 handball receives, played a huge role in them getting on top of the reigning premier.

On-baller Ben Giobbi had another sublime day with 27 disposals, nine inside 50s and a goal to be one of Euroa’s best.

The former VFL talent led the third-quarter onslaught.

Giobbi had 11 disposals in the third term and chalked up six inside 50 deliveries.

Meanwhile, Kyabram’s Kaine Herbert battled hard to finish with 31 disposals, 12 clearances, nine inside 50s and six rebound 50s.
