Last weekend, Rochester star Chris Jansen had himself a field day with a remarkable 48-disposal and five-goal game.

When the Data Points from Jansen’s outing started to roll through — an eye-watering 219 — it got the sports desk team thinking.

What are the highest individual Data Points scores from a player this Goulburn Valley League season?

Thanks to GVL Data, we can trawl back through the season and discover which players have brought up mammoth fantasy scores.

Speaking of fantasy, the following information will be crucial for when McPherson Media Group debuts GVL Fantasy.

There will be more of that news at a later date.

For now, let’s check out which players have posted the highest Data Points scores in 2022.

Obviously it’s little surprise who is number one.

Jansen’s exploits last Saturday were extraordinary and he became the second player to notch a double ton score.

Echuca forward Ruory Kirkby was the first to post over 200 points, with his score coming in round 11 against Benalla.

Kirkby had his Jason ‘Dizzy’ Gillespie moment when he brought up 201 points with his 10-goal, 24-disposal and 22-mark performance.

Benalla defender Sam Harris is next with a sublime 170 points, which he achieved in round 10.

Harris compiled 37 disposals, 15 marks and 13 rebound 50s to go with his five intercept grabs.

Kyabram gun Tom Holman had a field day in his side’s win over Tatura in round 12.

Holman slotted six goals and collected 24 touches, eight tackles and nine marks to record 167 points.

Tatura swingman Chris Ryan and Benalla onballer Chris Welsh have racked up 165 and 164 Data Points respectively.

Welsh’s teammate and VFL star ruck Tom Downie accumulated 163 points in one of his two appearances for the Saints this season.

Downie also collected 157 in round three.

Tatura midfielder Billy Cooper rounds out the 160-and-above gang, with the smooth mover reaching 160 in round nine.

Interestingly, Cooper has brought up the ton in all but two of his matches this season.

Seymour onballer Jack Murphy, who leads the competition for most Data Points scored, and Benalla’s Will Martiniello have both reached 157.
