Jack McHale is continuing to prove that he is the Murray Bombers’ trump card after another stellar all-round performance against Kyabram in round 11.
McHale led all players on the field in numerous categories, including ranking points, contested possessions, clearances and goal involvements.
He also placed in the top three of all players in disposals, goals, contested marks, marks inside 50 and score involvements.
McHale was everywhere on the field on Saturday and has been an invaluable asset to Echuca’s midfield for 2024.
‘Jumping Jack’ finished the game with 11 clearances, 19 contested possessions, a pair of goals and behinds to earn him 155 ranking points, the highest of the match.
On top of his superb efforts in the midfield, he almost bagged the most goals for the game, falling short by one to teammate Liam Tenace and Kyabram’s Khy Stovell.
His numbers against the Bombers were up compared to his season averages, with jumps in his contested possessions (+4), clearances (+4), disposals (+4), goals (+1.5) and ranking points (+30) accentuating his standout performance.
McHale’s ability to facilitate the Murray Bombers’ attack from the midfield is another quality that is highly regarded across the league.
He finished the game with 10 score involvements and five goal involvements, which accounts for half of the goals scored by Echuca in the contest.
His efforts on the other side of the ball are nothing to sniff at either, notching six tackles, four midfield tackles and two forward 50 tackles, wrapping up Kyabram’s danger men.
While Jack McHale is having the season of his life so far in 2024, he is aided by a terrific team around him, working as a well-oiled machine, with the end goal of a premiership three-peat at season’s end.
