Leather poisoning: Seymour’s Rory Scopel had himself a day out on Saturday with 41 disposals.

In Saturday’s comfortable 10-goal rout over Tatura, two Seymour onballers had themselves a field day.

Midfielder duo Rory Scopel and Jack Murphy both had class outings at Kings Park, with the former enjoying one of his best individual efforts this Goulburn Valley League season.

Thanks to GVL Data, we can get an insight into the numbers behind Scopel’s brilliant masterclass outing.

Scopel amassed a whopping 41 disposals, a season-best performance, and was the leading possession-getter on the ground.

His big day out consisted of 17 contested possessions, 10 marks, five clearances and five tackles.

It was a sublime performance, one that saw him net 154 data points.

Scopel has enjoyed a wonderful campaign for the Lions in 2022.

Able to do damage on the inside and outside, he has averaged 24 disposals, six marks and 5.2 inside 50s this season.

Scopel began his round 17 match in damaging fashion.

The midfield bull accumulated 12 disposals in the first term and added another 10 in the second to enter the main break on 22 touches.
