Brotherly love: Dylan Scopel combined brilliantly with brother Rory as Seymour went down to Mooroopna on Saturday.

There is nothing more wholesome than two brothers dominating together on a football field.

Sporting a connection no other duo could dream of, it is a sight to behold when two players of the same last name come together and tear a game apart.

And while it wasn’t quite enough to get Seymour over the line at Mooroopna Recreation Reserve, Scopel boys Rory and Dylan gave the crowd at the Cattery a show, with a pair of scintillating performances.

Two crucial cogs across half back and through the midfield for the Lions, the brothers combined for a staggering 69 disposals, with the Scopel DNA plastered all over the Sherrin.

Dylan ended the day as the leading possession winner on the ground, recording 37 to go with 10 marks, 13 handball receives, 10 ground-ball gets and six clearances.

What is most impressive about his game, however, was how he used the ball, with incredible disposal efficiency numbers of 87 per cent by foot and 86 per cent by hand showcasing the influence he had over the contest.
