The final round of the Goulburn Valley League home-and-away season saw some terrific individual performances as players and teams gear up for finals.

A close five-point win over Mooroopna saw Echuca wrap up the minor premiership, with co-coach Sam Reid leading the way on the field.

The former AFL Bulldog and Giant racked up 27 disposals in the win, 10 of which were contested, to earn 126 ranking the points, the highest of any Murray Bomber on the ground.

He was superb around the contest, notching nine clearances to go with 10 tackles, while also helping his team in attack, recording eight score involvements.

Mitch Kemp was also solid for the Murray Bombers, notching 23 disposals and nine contested possessions in the win.

Nine marks, five inside-50s and a goal topped off Kemp’s performance, which also included seven total score involvements.

Rochester ended its season on a positive note, claiming a 22-point win over Shepparton United, with none other than Joe Atley at the fore.

The midfield maestro collected a team-high 28 disposals (18 contested) and 11 clearances to power his side to win number four this year, earning 152 ranking points as the number one player on the ground.

Mitch Cricelli ended a standout season with another terrific outing, booting four goals from his 14 disposals as the most potent forward of either side.

Eight marks, five of which came inside-50, and nine total score involvements helped him to 118 ranking points, the Tigers’ second highest rating from the game.

Kyabram finished off its season with a 31-point victory over Benalla, with Reuben Rode playing a pivotal role in the win.

Rode finished the day with the most disposals for the Bombers, tallying 19 kicks and three handballs on his way to 104 ranking points.

Using the ball at 77 per cent and reeling in 13 marks, Rode was the highest ranked player on the ground alongside teammate Lachlan Smith.
