A former bikie enforcer charged over the alleged road rage shooting of a Gold Coast father of two remains behind bars.

Brent Luke Simpson, 45, is one of four men arrested after a 13-year investigation into the Australia Day death of Omega Ruston at Burleigh Heads in 2009.

The 32-year-old was allegedly shot in the stomach in a suspected road rage ambush following an incident on the highway.

Police believe two shots were fired from the rear passenger seat of a small maroon sedan, one of which fatally wounded the construction worker.

Simpson is charged with being an accessory after the fact of murder, perjury and attempting to corrupt a witness.

He did not appear as the matter was briefly mentioned in Brisbane Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody.

His defence lawyer has asked for additional information to be provided by police before an expected bail application on Thursday.

Police will allege Simpson allegedly "provided immediate assistance to the offenders after the murder had been committed".

Simpson is the creator of podcast The Clink which showcases "real-life stories of redemption".

"Hosted by Brent Simpson who is a former bikie enforcer who sold illicit drugs before turning his life around and dedicating his life to charity," the podcast website states.

Queensland detectives are seeking the extradition of another three men from NSW.

Hysam Hamdan, 43, was arrested by police as he allegedly tried to board a flight to Dubai, carrying $25,000 cash.

A short time later, 37-year-old Paul Younan was arrested after police stopped a black Toyota HiLux he was driving on Sydney's M4 motorway  before a 39-year-old man was later arrested at his home.

Detectives allege the men have links to Middle Eastern crime syndicates and outlaw motorcycle gangs.
