A Melbourne man has been arrested over the importation of 500 litres of methamphetamine.
Police alleged the unidentified man has links to Middle Eastern organised crime.
The drugs have been seized by authorities and the man charged.
Methamphetamine is a highly addictive substance than can be turned into ice and speed.
Senior figures from the Australian Federal Police and Australian Border Force were due to reveal more details at a media conference later on Thursday.
