Rape-accused rapper facing reckless driving charge

British YouTuber and musician Yung Filly has been charged with reckless driving while on bail over allegedly raping and choking a woman in a hotel room.

Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, 29, was caught on a speed camera in Perth's eastern suburbs on November 17 allegedly driving at 158 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

West Australian police impounded Filly's vehicle and he's scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrates Court next Thursday.

Barrientos is also accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s following a performance in Perth in September.

He was arrested in Brisbane and extradited to Perth, where he made his first court appearance in October.

The London rapper, who has 1.8 million YouTube subscribers and millions of Instagram and TikTok followers, is facing a slew of charges, which will be mentioned when he faces court next week.

They include four counts of sexual penetration without consent and three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.

He is also accused of impeding the woman's breathing or circulation by applying pressure to her neck.

Barrientos has not entered a plea and could be forced to remain in WA for several years while he awaits trial.

His strict bail conditions include surrendering his passport, supplying a $100,000 security and reporting daily to police.

His Wikipedia page says he was born in Colombia.

He started his YouTube career in 2013 and music career in 2017.

He has also appeared on numerous television shows, including BBC's Hot Property, which he hosted in 2018.
