Two men have died and a woman has been hospitalised after a boat capsized in a popular holiday town.

Emergency services were called to a beach near Point Connor just south of Beachport in South Australia about 11.30am on Monday.

Paramedics and police found three people unresponsive on the shore.

Two men aged 82 and 69 were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 59-year-old woman was taken to hospital.

Investigations into the incident continue but SA Police say there are no suspicious circumstances.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

The fatalities follow that of a 40-year-old woman unable to be revived after being swept off rocks at Salmon Beach in Esperance just after 11am on Saturday.

A wide-scale four-day search has also been scaled back for a missing fisherman whose boat was found empty and adrift on Friday off Windang Island near Warilla on the NSW south coast.

More than 30 drownings have been recorded nationally this summer, prompting authorities to urge holidaymakers to prioritise safety around the water.

Beachport is a small coastal town about 311 kilometres southeast of Adelaide on the Limestone Coast.
