$21,000 worth of bicycles donated to students after floods stolen from Rochester school

Appeal: The Campaspe Crime Investigation Unit is seeking assistance to find the people who stole donated bicycles from Rochester Secondary College.

The Campaspe Crime Investigation Unit is appealing for public help after 30 donated mountain bicycles and helmets were stolen from a Rochester school.

Detectives believe the offenders forced entry to a storage shed on the grounds of Rochester Secondary College, in Edward St, sometime between May 24 and June 2.

The Fluid brand mountain bikes and helmets, estimated to be worth about $21,000, were donated to the school by a Victorian charity after last year’s floods devastated the town.

The bikes were donated to students in April.
